Every year in Lincolnshire we look forward to the twice yearly Craft Farye that takes place in the charming village of Grainthorpe. The road going on takes you to Mablethorpe , a popular seaside town with endless sandy beaches and blue sea. Caravan parks and holiday homes stretch as far as the eye can see. Many of these holidaymakers make their way to the craft fayre eager to see something that catches their eye. Treating oneself on holiday is important but also we musn`t forget to take home a present for our friends and relatives.
The Craft Fayre and Art Exhibition is held in the ancient parish Church of St. Clements with stalls also in the village hall just along down the adjoining lane were next door refreshments can be purchased and enjoyed. The bacon rolls are much sought after! And the visiting ice cream van an extra treat.
My stall was positioned just inside the church door which was a good spot for many interesting conversations and going on to selling my book `An Inside Job`.
The pictures taken were by local photographer Chris Freer. I'm sure you will agree they are great. A first for me being photographed in a churchyard!
